The world of motocross is abuzz with the latest signing news, as 22-year-old Spanish sensation Samuel Nilsson officially joins the Dutch MX2 GP team Young Motion powered by Resa for the 2025 MX2 World Championship.
Nilsson, who boasts an impressive 12 MX2 Grand Prix races under his belt, as well as a top-five finish in the EMX250 series, is set to compete in the majority of the European MX2 rounds. The young Spaniard will also be riding for Triumph Spain in the Spanish Championship, further solidifying his presence in the motocross scene.
“I am thrilled to join Young Motion Powered by Resa,” exclaimed Nilsson. “2025 is my final year in the MX2 class due to the age rule, and I was looking for a setup that gives me the best opportunity to achieve the results I know I am capable of.”
Nilsson’s enthusiasm is matched by the team’s excitement to have him on board. Team Manager Ron aan de Stegge praised Nilsson’s skills, saying, “We have been following Samuel’s results over the past few years and have seen the speed he possesses. He has been a top performer in the Spanish MX2 Championship, and even as a privateer in the Grand Prix last year, his skill, drive, and results spoke for themselves.”
With Nilsson’s talent and the team’s support, expectations are high for a successful season. As Nilsson himself stated, “I’m really looking forward to the season and am already deep into training to be fully prepared.”
As the 2025 MX2 World Championship approaches, all eyes will be on Samuel Nilsson and the Young Motion powered by Resa team. With their combined strength and determination, they are poised to make a significant impact in the world of motocross.
