Oladips, whose real name is Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter. He was born on March 24, 1995, in Ogun State, Nigeria. Oladips began his musical career in 2012, and he has since released several hit songs.
In 2016, Oladips came to prominence when he released his hit single “Chache”. The song received massive airplay across Nigeria and gave Oladips the platform he needed to showcase his talent. He has since gone on to release several other hit singles such as “Lalakukulala” featuring Reminisce, “Vain”, and “African Beauty” featuring Reekado Banks.
One of the defining features of Oladips’ music is his unique rap style, which blends both Yoruba and English languages. He has also been known to infuse his music with indigenous beats and sounds, setting him apart from other rappers in the industry.
Oladips is currently signed to Les Roses Rouges (LRR), a record label owned by Reminisce. He has been nominated for several awards, and his music continues to grow in popularity both in Nigeria and around the world before his demise, on the 14 November 2023.
