Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen has been forced to withdraw from the 250SX West Coast championship due to illness, leaving the team with only Garrett Marchbanks for the upcoming rounds. In response, Pro Circuit Kawasaki has called up young talent Drew Adams as a fill-in rider, accelerating his timeline to make his Supercross debut at the upcoming San Diego Supercross.
Drew Adams Steps Up Earlier Than Planned
Adams was originally slated to debut with the team in the 2025 season as a fill-in rider while competing in the SMX Next program, which includes SX Futures and the MX Sports Pro Racing Scouting Moto Combine events. However, due to Kitchen’s unexpected absence, Adams will now make his professional Supercross debut earlier than expected.
The 17-year-old prodigy has long been regarded as one of the top amateur prospects in motocross. While his early call-up adds a new challenge, it also provides a valuable learning experience against some of the best 250SX riders in the sport.
Future with Pro Circuit Kawasaki Secured
Despite this unexpected early start, Adams’ long-term development remains a priority for Pro Circuit Kawasaki. He has already secured a full-time professional contract with the team for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, ensuring he has the time to grow without immediate pressure to perform at the highest level.
For now, his focus will be on gaining experience and making the most of his opportunity as Kitchen recovers. Adams took to social media to acknowledge the situation
