A mother, Alma, whose son has a condition known as werewolf syndrome, believes it’s because she ate cats during pregnancy to satisfy born her cravings.
Alma thinks her son’s appearance is a result of a curse brought upon her when she consumed a wild cat while pregnant.
Her two-year-old son, Jaren Gamongan, was born with excessive hair on his head, face, neck, arms, and back.
Alma admits she couldn’t resist her cravings during pregnancy and now regrets how her son looks.
She said:” I worry so much for him when it’s time for him to go to school. He might get bullied for being different.
I blamed myself when he was born because of the cravings I had. I felt very guilty. But then recently the doctors told me it was not related.”
She continued: “I will give him a bath when it’s hot. We even tried to cut the hair, but it would just grow back even longer and thicker, so we stopped doing it.”
Although jaren elder sister and his baby brother does not have this syndrome and were born without complications.
