The seventh round of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship at AT&T Stadium in Arlington delivered some of the most dramatic moments of the season, culminating in a fierce final lap battle that left fans on the edge of their seats. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cooper Webb emerged victorious in the 450SX class, claiming the win with impressive Triple Crown scores of 6-1-1. This win marked Webb’s seventh overall victory in Arlington, cementing his dominance at the venue and, more importantly, propelling him to the top of the championship standings.
The event was the second Triple Crown-format race of the season, where the combined scores of three races determine the overall winner. The format typically increases the intensity and chaos of the competition, and Arlington was no different. Webb’s win on the night gave him sole control of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship points lead, as he now holds a five-point advantage over second-place Chase Sexton.
As the third and final race of the night unfolded, Webb and Sexton were locked in a head-to-head battle for the overall victory. Webb, who had been charging through the pack all night, took advantage of a costly mistake by Sexton in the closing moments of the race. A collision between the two riders on the final lap led to Sexton’s crash, which ultimately handed Webb the victory. In the chaos of the moment, Webb admitted to a stroke of luck, saying, “I felt a little something [nudge me] at the end, and then I heard the crowd, and I was just in disbelief like everyone else. I can’t believe it. It’s a lot of luck there.”
Ken Roczen, riding for Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki, earned second place overall with a strong (1-5-3) finish across the three races. Roczen led Race 3 for a period but could not hold onto the position, ultimately losing the battle for the overall win. “Towards the end [of Race 3], I was leading, Chase was a little bit faster, Cooper was a little bit faster… There was just a lot of madness going on, but in the end, it’s still fun to be in the battle,” Roczen reflected after the race.
The real heartbreak of the night, however, belonged to Chase Sexton. After scoring a 3-2 finish in the first two races, he was in the perfect position to claim the overall win, but the crash with Webb in the final moments of Race 3 dashed his chances. “It’s pretty embarrassing: stalling it, going down, losing the overall. We’ve got a lot of work to do, go work on the bike and myself, and come back for Daytona,” Sexton said, disappointed but determined to bounce back.

The 250SX Class also delivered an exciting showdown, with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan taking the overall victory with a 1-1-2 scorecard. Deegan’s performance was a display of resilience, as he made up ground after a slower start in Race 3 to secure the win and extend his lead in the points standings. “I’m just going to keep working, keep getting better, it’s all I can work on,” Deegan said after his victory.
Privateer rider Coty Schock, competing for Muc-Off FXR ClubMX Yamaha, earned his first professional podium with a 2-4-6 finish. Schock’s journey to the podium was hard-fought, and it all came down to the final corner of Race 3, where he held off the challenges of Michael Mosiman to secure second place overall. Schock was thrilled with his result, saying, “It’s surreal and yeah, we did it.”
Meanwhile, Michael Mosiman, who had been working his way back from injury, grabbed third overall with a 3-2-7 performance. “To get back to this place, to get back on the podium and have to learn how to spray champagne again, it’s hard to put into words,” Mosiman shared, reflecting on his emotional return to the podium.
Rookie Cole Davies also had a memorable night. Despite struggling in the first two races, Davies recovered in Race 3, where he finished second after starting from the 17th gate pick. “I had 17th gate pick and I really had to make that work,” Davies said after finishing seventh overall with (4-17-1) race results.
