Braden Spangle Update Shares Update on Dramatic Clash: “The Chain and Tire Tore Up My Body”

A dramatic clash unfolded during qualifying as Braden Spangle and another rider found themselves in a heated on-track altercation. The incident resulted in both riders being disqualified for the evening, adding an unexpected twist to the night’s competition.

The tension began when Spangle was in the middle of a critical hot lap, aiming to set a fast qualifying time. During his run, another rider passed him, disrupting his rhythm. The move appeared to spark frustration, leading to an aggressive exchange in the following turn. In response, Spangle made hard contact with the other rider, triggering a violent crash. The intensity of the collision was so severe that the second rider landed on Spangle’s bike, suffering injuries from the spinning chain and tire.

Spangle, visibly frustrated, took to social media to share his side of the story. He wrote, “All you guys with your panties in a wad, I passed him while he was on his hot lap and he got mad and drilled me in the next turn out of nowhere so hard that I landed on his bike while the chain and tire was tearing up my body. They took my fast lap away and I am DQ’d from racing tonight as well as him… but he wasn’t even in the night show so it doesn’t even matter.”

While both riders faced disqualification, the consequences hit harder for Spangle’s opponent, who was already out of contention for the main event. For Spangle, the setback was frustrating but had little impact on his overall standing for the night.

This incident highlights the high-stakes nature of professional racing, where split-second decisions and on-track tensions can quickly escalate into serious confrontations. While aggressive riding is often part of the sport, situations like these push the boundaries between competition and recklessness.

The crash has sparked discussions within the racing community, with fans and analysts debating whether the disqualifications were justified. Some argue that Spangle’s reaction was a natural response to being blocked, while others believe the retaliation went too far. Regardless, the incident serves as a reminder of the fine line between competitive aggression and dangerous consequences.

As Spangle recovers from his injuries, the question remains whether further disciplinary action will be taken or if the matter will be left as a one-night consequence. For now, the focus shifts to the next race, where tensions could still be running high. One thing is certain—this on-track battle won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
