Anna Kalinskaya on Her Relationship with Jannik Sinner if it Brings Additional Pressure

Russian tennis star Anna Kalinskaya has made it clear that being in a relationship with Jannik Sinner, one of the most successful players in men’s tennis, does not add any pressure to her professional career.

Kalinskaya, 26, is dating Sinner, who recently captured his third Grand Slam title by defeating Alexander Zverev in the Australian Open final. Despite Sinner’s dominant status in the sport and the media’s depiction of the two as a “tennis power couple,” Kalinskaya emphasized that their relationship doesn’t affect her mindset on or off the court.

“Not at all. I don’t think there’s pressure; it doesn’t change anything,” Kalinskaya said during an interview with The Straits Times. At the time, she was preparing for her first-round match against Caroline Dolehide in Singapore, unable to attend Sinner’s triumphant final in Melbourne.

Kalinskaya’s response reflects a grounded perspective, as she continues to focus on her own career while supporting Sinner from afar.

Sinner Shares a Similar View

Jannik Sinner, now a three-time Grand Slam champion and current World No. 1, has also stressed that his relationship with Kalinskaya hasn’t changed his personal or professional outlook. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in May 2024, and since then, both players have been candid about how they balance their personal and professional lives.

In November 2024, Sinner addressed the topic during a press conference, shortly after winning the US Open and reaching the top of the ATP rankings. He described his relationship with Kalinskaya as “natural” and one that doesn’t interfere with his goals.

“I don’t think anything has changed. Having a girlfriend is something that either makes you feel good or makes you feel bad. I want it to be something that feels very natural, which comes into my life normally,” Sinner explained. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining focus, adding, “I can’t afford to change as a player or as a person. That hasn’t happened, that’s why it works.”

Reserved Yet Supportive

While Sinner is known for being private about his personal life, his relationship with Kalinskaya has occasionally made headlines. After his US Open victory in September 2024, the Italian publicly shared a celebratory kiss with Kalinskaya, surprising fans with an uncharacteristic display of affection.

Despite their high-profile careers, both Kalinskaya and Sinner appear committed to maintaining a balance between their professional ambitions and their personal lives. Kalinskaya’s latest remarks affirm that their relationship is rooted in mutual understanding, allowing them to thrive both individually and as a couple.

For this tennis duo, love seems to complement—not complicate—their pursuit of greatness.
