Jo Shimoda give Update on Injuries after San Diego Supercross

Jo Shimoda’s triumphant performance at the 2025 San Diego Supercross was a testament to his resilience and determination. Despite facing significant challenges in the preceding months, Shimoda showcased exceptional skill and tenacity, leading to a well-deserved victory.

Shimoda’s return to racing was marked by his participation in the seventh round of the D.I.D All Japan Motocross Championship in September 2024. Competing on the new 2025 CRF450R, this event marked his debut race on the Honda CRF450R and his first competition in Japan in two years. Expressing his enthusiasm, Shimoda stated, “I’m stoked on the opportunity to race in my home country. The fans there show me so much support, and I want to thank them by going back to race as often as I can.”

The 2025 Supercross season opener at Anaheim 1 saw Shimoda clinch a remarkable victory, setting a positive tone for the season. However, during the San Diego Supercross, Shimoda faced another setback, suffering two broken fingers on his left hand after clipping a pit board during qualifying. Despite the injury, Shimoda demonstrated immense determination by participating in the heat race, finishing seventh, and securing a spot in the main event. His perseverance paid off as he delivered an outstanding performance, leading to his second consecutive win of the season.
