Ty Masterpool Replaces Drew Adams in the West Coast Lineup for San Diego Supercross!

Ty Masterpool, a 22-year-old American professional motocross and supercross racer from Paradise, Texas, has been making significant strides in his career. After a successful amateur tenure, where he secured six titles at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, Masterpool turned professional in 2019 with the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team. Over the years, he has showcased his talent across various teams and classes, including notable performances as a privateer in the 450 class during the 2023 season.

In 2024, Masterpool joined the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team as a fill-in rider just days before the AMA National Motocross Championship season opener. He quickly made an impact by achieving his first professional overall win at the High Point National, which also marked Pro Circuit’s 300th SX/MX win. His consistent performances throughout the season earned him a fifth-place finish in the 250 Class championship.

Recognizing his potential and contributions, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki has rewarded Masterpool with a full-time contract for the 2025 season. This agreement is expected to encompass participation in Monster Energy Supercross, Pro Motocross, and the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) post-season. Masterpool expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity, reflecting on the challenges and perseverance that led him to this point in his career.

As he prepares for the upcoming season, Masterpool is set to compete in the West Coast series, starting this weekend. Initially, it appeared that Drew Adams might take this spot; however, challenges with parts and mechanics for the new bike led to the decision to have Masterpool fill the position. Daniel Blair from Main Event Moto confirmed that Masterpool will race for Pro Circuit Kawasaki alongside Garrett Marchbanks in the West Coast lineup.

Masterpool’s journey reflects his dedication and resilience in the sport. From his early days training at his family’s 956 facility in Paradise, Texas, to overcoming injuries and financial constraints as a privateer, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to motocross. With the support of a factory team and a full-time contract, the 2025 season holds promising prospects for Masterpool as he aims for new heights in his professional career.
